Gimmickry exposed

The "political gimmickry" of Lalu Prasad has been exposed and I am sure that the people's desire for a change will not be confined to Bihar and will be reflected in the other States where elections are due.

D.R. Anantha Rayalu,
Hyderabad

The voters have taught a lesson to Mr. Prasad and his partymen. Hope the new government will fulfil the expectations of the common man.

Franck Chandran,
Hyderabad

Mr. Prasad and his allies who looked invincible have been vanquished. The people of Bihar have given their mandate in no uncertain terms. The Congress should learn from the defeat and part ways with the RJD.

T.S. Padmanabhan,
Chennai

In the February election, Mr. Paswan held the balance of power with his party's crucial support. But he squandered the goodwill of the people by sticking to personal vendetta and minority appeasement.

K.M.G. Vivekanandam,
Madurai

The Bihar electorate has punished Mr. Prasad and Mr. Paswan for taking it for granted. The NDA should thank the Governor for giving it time to regroup and emerge stronger.

R.S. Swaminathan,
Ch. Pothepalli, A.P.
