MANDYA: Bangalore Urban girls won a thriller, beating Mandya 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 11-25, 15-13 in the girls' final of the junior inter-district volleyball championship at the Sri Vidya Ganapathi Educational Trust grounds, Kothathi (Mandya District) on Sunday evening. Other results: Boys (final): Dakshina Kannada bt Tumkur 17-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-23. Semifinals: Dakshina Kannada bt Udupi 25-19, 25-22, 25-20; Tumkur bt Kolar 25-18, 15-25, 25-22, 25-19. For third place: Udupi bt Kolar 25-16, 22-25, 27-25, 25-22. Girls: (semifinals): Mandya bt Dakshina Kannada 21-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-23; Bangalore Urban bt Bangalore City 25-18, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16.
