Stop killing of innocents in conflicts

NEW DELHI: Fasting for a cause, the Inter-Community Peace Initiative on Saturday observed a token fast appealing to civil society to actively struggle to prevent innocent people from being killed in armed conflicts or hostilities. The group has specially addressed the Muslim Ulema and intellectuals to do more than just issuing statements condemning ghastly incidents of terrorism. In a statement, the Inter-Community Peace Initiative stated: "There is a need for all groups and individuals working for peace and justice within the country and for friendship across borders".
