Abdullah Banday: link between Lashkar commanders of Poonch and cadre in Doda

DODA: A key agent in the elaborate hawala racket of the Lashkar-e-Taiba militant outfit, which was financing militancy in Doda district, has been arrested.

Abdullah Banday, 45, a resident of the Bharat area of Doda district was the link between Lashkar commanders of Poonch district and their cadre in Doda district.

The police were searching for him for the last three months.

A specific police source tipped off the security agencies in Bharat area about Banday's movement in the belt and he was arrested by personnel of 8 Rashtriya Rifles and the State police.
