Bangalore: Aniruddha Dutta has a hobby that is unusual for a 15-year-old. This X class student of Bishop Cotton has been regularly interviewing celebrities, with a preference for musicians for some years now. The latest interview was with Alka Yagnik, one of the reigning voices of Bollywood. The singer told him that she was critical about her own singing and she was most proud of songs she did for films such as "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Refugee", and "Hum Tum". While her mother was her guru¸ she respected Lata Mangeshkar the most. Asked about upcoming singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala and Kailash Kher, she said: "They are all very promising but they still have a long way to go. Kunal sounds mature and Shreya's voice needs a little more maturity and refinements. But an early promise does not guarantee a lasting place. Many promising artists get lost in the crowd. One needs to be focused and dedicatedly persevere. I hope all of them have a long career ahead." About young singer coming through television "reality shows" such as Abhijeet Sawant and Amit Sana, Alka had this to say: "A lot of artists are now being thrown into the ring by these shows... most of them sound very similar to each other. There is going to be fierce competition among them."
