PATNA: Rahstriya Janata Dal leader leader and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad suffered a bruise in the hand when the rostrum at an election rally in the Nathnagar constituency in Bhagalpur district caved in under the weight of jostling party workers on Monday. However, he addressed the meeting on the Shahgangi ground. The dais gave in immediately after Mr. Prasad took his seat as party workers rushed behind him to the makeshift platform. Theformer Bihar Minister, Shakuni Chaudhary, was also hurt. At least seven party workers and supporters were injured in the collapse and the stampede that followed.
