Shahbuddin's name deleted from voters' list

PATNA: The name of controversial RJD MP Syed Shahbuddin was deleted from the voters' list on the Election Commission's directive, Bihar Chief Secretary G.S. Kang said on Saturday.

He said eight non-bailable arrest warrants were pending against him.

"Why only Shahbuddin. Names of 5,000 people against whom non-bailable waarants of arrest are pending have been deleted from the voters' list as they were evading arrest and absconding from their places of residence for the past six months," Mr. Kang said. — PTI
