BANGALORE: Srinivas (30), who was attacked by a gang of persons in the Vyalikaval police station limits on Thursday, has been admitted to a hospital.
The police said Srinivas, who was running a tailor shop at his residence in Palace Guttahalli, had reportedly teased a woman.
The woman is said to have complained to her relatives. This, the police said, had triggered the attack.
The gang allegedly attacked Srinivas when he was standing on Vyalikaval 2nd Main Road.
Manjula (42), died on the spot when a car overturned and fell on her near Doddanekkundi railway bridge in the K.R. Puram traffic police station limits on Thursday. The victim was walking with her husband, Somashekharaiah, and son, Vinayashekhara, when the accident took place. Manjula died on the spot. The others were admitted to hospital with injuries.
