CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Education Department has decided to ban use of mobile phones by teachers and students in the classrooms of all colleges and universities in the State. An official note issued here on Monday said the decision had been taken in view of disturbance caused in the classrooms by the use of mobile phones. Registrars of Kurukshetra University, Maharishi Dayanand University and Devi Lal University, Sirsa, and Principals of colleges have been told to implement this order strictly.
