Reliance staff shot dead

PATNA: An engineer employed with the Reliance group and a contractor were gunned down by unidentified persons near a police picket here on Monday, officials said.

Sanjiv Kumar, the engineer and Ravi Ranjan, the contractor, were shot dead by gunmen on a motorcycle, barely 20 metres from the Doctors' Colony police picket, Superintendent of Police (City) Rakesh Rathi told PTI.

He said the gunmen also fired at and critically wounded Dr. Kamlesh, who was travelling in another car, mistaking him for the engineer.
