HYDERABAD: All-round performance by Benjamin Thomas, who struck 44 and then claimed four for 31, helped St.John' Junior College record a 94-run win against Loyola Academy `B' in the Parle Cup (under-17) cricket tournament here.

The Hindu-Eenadu

enters final

The Hindu-Eenadu moved into the final of the Hero Honda Cup corporate cricket tournament defeating Capco Capacitors by eight wickets in the semi-final here.

The scores: Capco Capacitors 158 for nine (Karthik 87, Ravi four for 28) lost to The Hindu-Eenadu 162 for two (Krishna Rao 57, Thakur 55).

HSBC 241 for six (Amit 42, Nitesh 82) bt ADP India 130 for seven.

Ex-state footballer dead

Former State footballer, G.M. Murali, passed away after a brief illness. He was 64. He represented the State between 1970 and 80 and was a regular member of the APSRTC.
