MTC bus diversion

CHENNAI:
Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) buses plying via Valluvar Kottam will be diverted from September 23 due to road works to be carried out by Chennai Corporation.
Buses 17M, 17M Ext., 17A (cut), 25G, proceeding towards Anna Salai will be diverted after Kodambakkam Bridge via Periyar Road, Habibullah Road and G.N Chetty Road.
Those with route numbers 37, 37B, 37C, 37D, 37E (cut) and 37G will proceed towards Chetpet by turning left from Kodambakkam Bridge to Mahalingapuram Road, Loyola College and Sterling Road junction. Buses 47, 47D, 147, 147B, M147 and A47 going towards Chetpet will turn left on Habibullah Road, North Usman Road, Mahalingapuram Road and Loyola College after Tirumalai Pillai Road. Buses 47A, 47G and G47 will also take the same route.
Bus number 41F towards Metha Nagar, will go via Tirumalai Pillai Road, Habibullah Road, North Usman Road, Mahalingapuram and Loyola College.
MTC authorities said in a press release that the bus routes would be restored once the road works are over.
