Training in event management to be imparted

VISAKHAPATNAM: A three-day training programme in media awareness and event management will be conducted by Saakha, a city organisation, from August 13.

Announcing this at a media conference on Wednesday, Saakha's trainer Suguna said that the training would be in effective communication skills, memory, public speaking and human relations.

Later, training would be imparted according to needs. Other aspects like improvement of written and spoken English, performing.

Presentation skills, shows and festivals, group get-togethers for the corporate world, etc., would be dealt with separately in other phases of training, she explained.

Recalling her experience, Ms. Suguna said she was event manager for dance programmes of her sister Sumati Kausal.

The crash course this month would particularly be helpful to masters of ceremonies, video jockeys (VJ) and anchors, she felt.

"Only children above the age of 11 years are eligible to undergo the training programme," she said. Details can be had by dialling 98481-27734.
