Former DGP dead

CHENNAI: : E.L. Stracey, a retired Tamil Nadu Director-General of Police (DGP), died in Australia recently. He was 84.

Stracey joined the then Imperial Police in May 1943 and retired as Director-General of Police in 1979. He was the first DGP when the post was created in the State.
