Reunion at Bangalore
The alumini meet of National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, was held recently. College sources said unlike the yesteryears, when the meet was held at the college premises, this year it was organised in Bangalore to facilitate better participation. Around 400 old students of the college, employed at various firms across the country, attended the reunion.
In his address, special guest R. Ramalingam, a retired Indian Police Service officer, emphasised the importance of improving the standard of education and the need to form Centre for Excellence in every field of study.
Somesh Subramaniam, secretary, Alumini Association, presented the annual report on the activities of the association. K. S. K. Chockalingam, principal, NEC, was present.
