"AIADMK has bought victory through violence"

Special Correspondent

VILLUPURAM: State Ministers who staged a road roko in Chennai on Tuesday have violated the Tamil Nadu Government Servants' Conduct Rules, 1973 and have therefore forfeited their rights to occupy office.

They should be dismissed from the Cabinet, S. Ramadoss, Pattali Makkal Katchi founder-leader, told a press conference at Thailapuram near here on Thursday.

During the byelections to local bodies, the Ministers ``enacted a drama in collusion with the police to divert the attention of the people.''

After their misadventure, the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam lost its right to continue in power.

But the PMK would not seek the ouster of the Government because the days were not far off for the people to unseat the AIADMK in elections.

Dr. Ramadosssaid the AIADMK was yet to get over the stunning defeat it suffered in the Lok Sabha elections; hence to console itself it ``bought success in local bodies elections, indulging in violence.''

The PMK leader said the Ministers who took part in the Chennai road roko should be barred from entering the Gummidipoondi and Kancheepuram constituencies, where byelections are to be held.
