Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Hindu , it seems, is obsessed with Narendra Modi. There have been many communal clashes since Independence and many people belonging to different communities have been killed. But no other Chief Minister not even Suhrawardy of undivided Bengal has been so badly maligned by the media. As for the conclusions of the NHRC, the Commission is not infallible. It did act in haste when Ishrat Jahan, a 19-year-old, was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Gujarat. It was later established that the girl did have terrorist connections.
