Anbazhagan's poser to Jayalalithaa

By Our Special Correspondent

CHENNAI, FEB. 16. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) general secretary, K. Anbazhagan, today alleged that the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa's demand for reintroduction of ballot paper system in the general elections "exposed" her party's belief that it could win the election only by ``resorting to booth capturing through violence.''

Mr. Anbazhagan said that the Chief Election Commission, on a representation from the DMK, took immediate action and transferred the officials during the time of general elections. But these officials were reposted to the same posts after the election.

He asked whether the Chief Minister who was now blaming the officials for the large-scale confusion in the electoral rolls would take action against those officials who were pulled up by the Commission.
