KOLKATA, FEB. 16. Australian Open champion Serena Williams may play in the WTA Sunfeast Open 2005, to be held here from September 19 to September 25.
Tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi will meet West Bengal Chief Minister, Buddhadev Bhattacharjee, on March 8 to discus about the $170,000 event.
State Urban Development Minister, Ashok Bhattacharya, told reporters here that a committee, headed by the Chief Minister, has been formed for the smooth conduct of the event, sponsored by ITC.
India's Sania Mirza and Shikha Oberoi are also expected for the event. PTI
