By Our Staff Reporter CHENNAI, FEB. 7. The renovation of the Senate House of the Madras University today received a fillip with the State Bank of India donating Rs. 10 lakhs for renovation. The SBI's Managing Director, Ashok Kini, handed over the cheque to the Vice-Chancellor, S.P. Thyagarajan, towards the Senate House Conservation Fund Account. The donation is part of the SBI's Community Services banking. The money will help develop the landscape in front of the Senate House. The cost of the renovation is estimated at Rs. 6 crores by the university.
