House not owned by BJP MLA: Sehrunissa

MUMBAI, DEC. 18. Sehrunissa Sheikh, Zaheera's mother, has said that she did not live in a house owned by the BJP MLA, Bhupendra Singh Gohil, in Savli near Baroda.

In response to a question by the special public prosecutor, Manjula Rao, during the re-trial of the Best Bakery case, Sehrunissa said she lived in a hut and did not know who owned it. Her daughter Zaheera had taken the hut on rent. Ms. Rao, who is cross-examining Sehrunissa who has turned a hostile witness, insisted that Mr. Gohil owned the house.
