NEW DELHI, DEC 15. Breaking new barriers and crossing man made borders, the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre (EHIRC), New Delhi, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Medical Services Limited, Dhaka (BMSL) to set up a super-speciality cardiac care hospital in Dhaka, to be called Escorts Heart Hospital. Speaking about the new venture, Naresh Trehan of Escorts said, "Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre is not new to the people of Bangladesh and we are honoured and privileged to bring our highest standards in quality cardiac care to the doorsteps of the people of Bangladesh." The new hospital, Escorts Heart Hospital, Nikunja, will have 100-beds in the initial stage and will be entirely managed by EHIRC, New Delhi. The hospital will be fully equipped with the best technologies in cardiac surgery, catheterisation and cardiac diagnostic services. A considerable amount of construction and design work has already been completed by BMSL and the hospital is expected to become operational by mid 2005.
