Rat-attack

SAVAR (BANGLADESH), DEC. 12. Five labourers were injured when rats bit them at Kharurbag poultry feed market near the bus stand here.

Locals said that about 200 rats came out from the godown where poultry feed was stocked, when the labourers were lifting load yesterday.

The incident spread panic in the market area. Later, the labourers with the help of the local people killed more than 30 rats.

The injured labourers were treated at the local hospital. Merchants said that every year, rats damage stocks of foodgrains and poultry feed in the area. — UNB
