MUMBAI, NOV. 24. Amid controversy over `ownership issue,' the Vice Chairman of Reliance Industries, Anil Ambani, today skipped a World Bank conference on `Improving India's Investment Climate.' Mr. Ambani's name was in the list of speakers at the conference for which the agenda was distributed to the media earlier. However, in the fresh list, there was no mention of his (Mr. Ambani's) name. "I do not believe that Mr. Ambani is coming,'' the World Bank Vice-President (South Asia), Praful Patel, told reporters on the sidelines of the conference. A large number of media persons were waiting for Mr. Ambani at a suburban hotel where the conference was being held, but he did not turn up.
