Vizag regains titles

VISAKHAPATNAM, NOV. 21. Visakhapatnam regained the boys and girls' overall titles after a gap of seven years, by topping the points' tables in the State junior athletic championships 2004-05 that concluded at the Port Stadium here on Sunday.

The results (winners only): Boys: Under-20: R. Sudhakar (Warangal) 200m, Pulla Reddy (RR) 10,000m, S. Krishna Raju (VZM) 110m hurdles, P.V. Mohan (Prakasam) pole-vault, B. Srinivasa Reddy (PKM) triple jump, Y.S. Naidu (VZM) javelin, S. Raju (GNT) hammer throw, B. Srinivas (GNT) decathlon, Khammam (V. Satish, K. Ashok, J. Lenin Babu and Ch. Srinivas) 4x100m relay.

Under-18 yrs: B.P.R.C. Rao (VSP) 200m, V. Veera Raghavan (GNT) 110m hurdles, Md. Abdul Nazeeb (Hyd) triple jump, A. Malleshwara Rao (East Godavari) pole-vault, K. Ramakrishna (Krishna) javelin, Md. Ubed Ul Rehman (Karimnagar) hammer throw, Ch. Rohit (K'nagar) octathlon, Visakhapatnam (T. Harikrishna Reddy, P. Chandrasekhar, S. Srinivasa Rao and BPRC Rao) 4x100m relay.
