CUDDAPAH, OCT. 28. A couple died of severe burns in a suicide pact in Almaspet in Cuddapah town on Thursday.
An autorickshaw driver, Imam Vali (34), doused himself in kerosene and set himself ablaze on Wednesday night suspecting the fidelity of his wife, Rahamathun (28), and she too sustained severe burns, according to the police. They were admitted to Cuddapah Government hospital, where they succumbed to burns. Imam Vali of Dongacheruvu and Rahamathun deserted their spouses and got married a few months ago. Imam Vali has three children while Rahamathun has two daughters.
Four hurt in attack
Chinnapu Reddy and his three daughters sustained severe injuries in an attack by a rival group over a property dispute in S.N.S. Colony in Rayachoti town on Wednesday night.
