BASF India's Head-South Asia

MUMBAI: The Chairman of BASF Group in India, Prasad Chandran, has been appointed as Head-BASF South Asia and will be responsible for Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in addition to India, effective October 1. Mr. Chandran's elevation comes in the wake of a realignment of BASF operations in the Asia-Pacific region. "Asia-Pacific has been identified as a growth region for BASF. We have set ourselves ambitious targets. To meet these targets, we have to take major efforts and create an organisational structure that fully supports our strategy of profitable growth," said Mr. Chandran.
