West Bengal is the favourite

MARGAO, OCT. 11. West Bengal, which has remained unbeaten so far, is the clear favourite to win the title, when it locks horns with defending champion Mizoram in the final of 27th sub-junior (under-16) National football championship at Duler in north Goa on TuesdayWest Bengal, the only team to win all its group games, was given a scare by Meghalaya who missed a hatful of chances before going down to a Sudip Banik goal in the semifinals.

Mizoram, which beat Tamil Nadu by Zohmingliana's goal in the semifinals and lost its only match during the group stage to West Bengal 0-3, will have to pull up its socks and raise its game if it's to win the final. — PTI
