ERODE, OCT. 11. D. Andrews of Erode Railways played a brilliant game to topple favourite Aravind Savur of Karnataka 53-77, 60-43, 57-41, 64-31 in a Group B encounter of the Chintamani Memorial second open State snooker championship at the SSA Sports Academy here on Monday. Mohammed Wassim of Southern Railway Sports Association was the other player to make a mark with an impressive break of 72 against Saravanan of TNSC. Veteran Syed Habib of MUC beat Vijay of CBA 26-52, 61-32, 54-38, 27-66 to further enhance his chances for the title.
