MGU teams sitting pretty
KOCHI,
OCT. 11.
The host Mahatma Gandhi University men and women, with two wins each in the four-team super-league, were sitting pretty in the all-India inter-university softball championship at the St. Peter's College, Kolencherry, on Monday.
A victory on Tuesday, the concluding day, will give the host teams the title. MGU and DAV (Indore) are on top of the pool with two wins each in the men's section.
The results (super-league):
Men: Mahatma Gandhi (Kottayam) bt Amaravathi 10-4, DAV (Indore) bt Calicut 8-2.
Women: Mahatma Gandhi bt GNDU (Amritsar) 7-6, Delhi bt Pune 13-3.
