HASSAN, OCT. 7. Members of the district unit of the Dalit Sangharsha Samithi (DSS) and the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) took out a procession in Sakleshpur on Thursday protesting against alleged atrocity on Dalits of Hongadahalla village of the taluk.
Almost 100 people participated in the protest.
The protestors, led by the district conveners, Mehaboob Pasha and Lakshman Keerthi, submitted a memorandum to the tahsildar protesting against the alleged social boycott of Dalits by the people belonging to the upper castes.
