Kozhikode posts win
THALASSERY,
SEPT. 30.
Kozhikode and Kasaragod posted wins in the State (under-17) inter-district cricket championship here on Thursday. But Palakkad, with nine points, and Thrissur, with eight, entered the semifinals as the Pool `B' fixtures concluded.
The scores: Malappuram 98 in 30 overs lost to Kasaragod 99 for four in 28 overs.
Kozhikode 144 for nine in 30 overs (Niaz five for 42) bt Wayanad 97 in 25 overs (Arjun four for 10).
