BANGALORE, OCT. 1. BEL defeated ADE 3-1 in the Super Division Football League for the George Hoover Cup at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Friday. Jagannath fired the first goal for BEL when he made the most of ADE Goalkeeper Saravana's mishandling off a free kick from Roy. ADE hit back through Murali when BEL defender Ranjith Lopez cleared straight to him. In the second half, BEL stepped up the momentum and scored two more goals. Satish Babu found the mark off a cross from Roy and Kumar headed in when presented with a cross from Bharathi Dasan. Earlier in the `A' Division, BWSSB beat Dharmaraja Union 4-2. Somesh, Deepak, Kumar and Cholan scored for BWSSB, while Praveen Kumar got a brace for Union, which is set to go down to the `B' division having finished its league engagements without a point on the board.
