Sethuraman (Chennai), with 7.5 points, maintained lead at the end of the eight round in the 17th annual Spic Trophy FIDE-rated open chess tournament at Spic Nagar Community Hall here on Friday. ICF's Syed Anwar Shazuli, who drew with Sethuraman, was in the second position with 6.5 points along with four others M.B. Muralidharan, O.T. Anilkumar, R. Premnath and M. Shyam Sundar. Important results (eighth round): S.P. Sethuraman (7.5) drew with Syed Anwar Shazuli (6.5); M.S. Muralidharan (6.5) bt B. Adhiban (5.5); O.T. Anil Kumar (6.5) bt M. Vinoth Kumar (5.5); R.
