Addressing the valedictory function of the two-day all-Andhra Vaikhanasa Agama Sadassu here on Saturday, the Swami challenged the Jeeyars to `prove their mettle' at the national meet to be held either in Hyderabad or in Chennai, instead of finding fault with the rituals conducted at the Tirumala temple, which were in strict adherence to the Vaikhanasa Agama principles. The two-day conference adopted resolutions endorsing the rituals at the Sri Venkateswara Swami temple in Tirumala and the decision to construct a mahaprakaram. There was nothing wrong in the removal of the thousand-pillar mandapam which could be rebuilt at a convenient place, the Sadassu opined. It also resented the interference of Pancharatra Agama leaders in the activities of Vaikhanasa followers, and declared full support to the development activities of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) aimed at improving facilities to pilgrims. It also appealed to the State Government to safeguard the Vaikhanasa Agama tradition's policies at Tirumala.
