Court notices on admission denial
By Our Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI,
SEPT. 16.
The Delhi High Court yesterday issued notices to the Delhi Government, its Director of Education and the Principal of a Government Senior Secondary School here on a public interest litigation accusing the school of denying admission to seven children, including three girls, of a Capital's resettlement colony.
A Division Bench comprising Justice B.C. Patel and Justice B.D. Ahmed asked the three respondents to file replies to the petition by September 22.
The petitioner, Social Jurist, through his counsel, Ashok Aggarwal, submitted that the Principal gave one excuse after another to the parents of these children for denying admission to the school in Bakkarwala JJ Resettlement Colony in Nangloi in West Delhi before finally telling them that admissions had closed on July 31, 2004.
