Kranthi shines

VISAKHAPATNAM, SEPT. 13. S. Kranthi Kumar's 96 was the highlight of VDCA XI's five-wicket win over Bengal XI in a three-day match at the Ukku Stadium here on Monday.

The scores: Bengal XI 130 in 47 overs (A. Chandra Mallik 27, Y. Lakshman Kishore four for 29, PAVN Raju three for 41) and 175 in 44.3 overs lost to VDCA XI 145 in 71.4 overs (PAVN Raju 26, Sourav Roy three for 38, D. Pal three for 40) and 161 for five in 66.3 overs (S. Kranthi Kumar 96).
