An unbeaten 53 by Achuthan helped Vignesh Sports Club carve out a seven-wicket victory over Majestic CC in the Indian Bank— Dindigul District Cricket Association first division league here on Sunday. The scores: Majestic CC 176 in 37.5 overs (R. Ganesh 26, R. Ravichandran 28, P. Rajmohan 26, Ranjithkumar three for 37, Senguttuvan three for 37, A. Solomon four for 32) lost to Vignesh SC 177 for three in 30.1 overs (A. Solomon 30, N. Achuthan 53 not out, Ranjithkumar 37 not out).

PSNA College of Engg 171 in 42.4 overs (J.Z. Asik Refai 39, Srinivasan 39 not out, Ranjithkumar three for 24, V.L. Suresh Ekambaram four for 40) lost to Vignesh Sports Club 172 for eight in 41.5 overs (A. Solomon 28, B. Jeyakumar four for 53).

Second division: Young Star CC 92 in 22.4 overs (V.M. Gokul 50 not out, S. Ramesh three for 24) lost to Master's XI, Vedasandur 95 for two in 14 overs (G. Ganesh 41, P.N. Bhaskaran 25 not out).
