2-0 win for Tollygunge

KOLKATA, JULY 31. Tollygunge Agragami managed to put it across Railway FC 2-0 in a Calcutta Football League match at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium here on Saturday. When it looked like the purposeless game would end in a draw, Tollygunge struck twice in two minutes in the second-half.

It was Surojit Basu's shot that put Tollygunge ahead and Debkumar Sasmal scored the second goal in the injury time. Rain left the underfoot conditions not conducive to good football as the two teams struggled to get to terms. Too many ill-directed passes did not help the cause. When the Railway side began to take things easy in the fag end of the game, Tollygunge got both the chances and made full use of them.
