Muneer Sait one of the judges for Olympic Games
CHENNAI,
JULY 31.
Muneer Sait, former Olympian and goal-keeper, is one of the judges nominated by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) for the Olympic Games at Athens starting on August 13. A bronze medallist as goal-keeper in 1968 at the Mexico Olympiad, Muneer Sait, moved into the FIH in 1976 as a member of the Youth Committee.
He became a judge for the first time in 1980 for the Moscow Games, and thereafter has been a regular member of the panel in all the Olympics between 1980 to 2000.
He was also the Tournament Director for the last Commonwealth Games at Manchester, and several other events under the supervision of the FIH.
Currently, Muneer is a member of the FIH Competitions Committee.
