Ambulance for High Court dispensary

By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI, JULY 10. Advocate and Congress Rajya Sabha member, B.S. Gnanadesikan, today handed over an ambulance and ECG equipment to the High Court dispensary here.

Bought from his local area development fund, these facilities, along with two trolley stretchers and two wheelchairs, were presented to hospital authorities in the presence of the Chief Justice, B. Subhashan Reddy, and other judges.

The vehicle and the equipment were bought at a cost of Rs. 4 lakhs, Mr. Gnanadesikan said.

These facilities would be under the exclusive control of the Registrar-General of the High Court, and would be used for the benefit of advocates, court staff and the litigant-public.

Mr. Justice Reddy said steps would be taken to locate a mini-hospital, complete with an air-conditioned hall, beds and first-aid kits for emergencies, on the High Court premises.
