PW sets terms for ceasefire

HYDERABAD,
JUNE 30.
Making its next move, the People's War has proposed terms of ceasefire and urged the Government to consider the conditions for enforcing a meaningful "peaceful period" for three months as agreed upon by both sides. It has also agreed to the constitution of a committee with representatives of all human rights organisations.
In a statement today, K. Ramakrishna, secretary of the AP Committee of CPI (ML) PW, said the PW had requested K.G. Kannabiran of PUCL, S.R. Sankaran and Potturi Venkateswara Rao of the Concerned Citizens' Committee, Bojja Tharakam (Peace Initiative Committee), Sheshaiah (APCLC ) and K. Balagopal (Human Rights Forum) to be on the supervisory committee for ceasefire.
