B.Ed. centre opened at Elanthoor

The Vice-Chancellor of the Mahatma Gandhi University, Cyriac Thomas, inaugurating the new B.Ed. Centre complex at Elanthoor, near Pathanamthitta, on Thursday.

PATHANAMTHITTA, JUNE 24. The Vice-Chancellor of the Mahatma Gandhi University, Cyriac Thomas, inaugurated the newly-built University B.Ed. Centre complex at Elanthoor near here today.

The two-storey B.Ed. Centre complex, constructed at a cost of Rs. 8 lakhs from the special development fund of the local MLA, K. K. Nair, houses a full-fledged library, a technology laboratory and a conference hall.

Mr. Nair presided over the inaugural function. The MGU Syndicate member, K. Basheer Khan, inaugurated the technology laboratory and the Director of the MGU School of Pedagogical Sciences, A. Sudharma, inaugurated the library on the occasion.

The Principal of the B.Ed. Centre at Thottackad in Kottayam district, T. G. Purushothaman Nair, and the Elanthoor Government Vocational Higher Secondary School principal, Philomena Manuel, also addressed the function. The B.Ed. centre principal, Santhamma Mathew, welcomed the gathering.
