KOCHI, JUNE 9. Taking concrete action to solve an issue was much nobler than merely lecturing about it, said the noted Malayalam writer, M. Leelavathy. Inaugurating a meeting held to felicitate the students hailing from Lakshmaveedu Colony, Koonamthai, who had passed in examinations from Std. I to Plus II, by the Kerala Prohibition Council Koonamthai unit and the Paraspara Sahaya Ayalkoottam, she lauded the efforts of the Prohibition Council to rescue the colony from the ill-effects of alcoholism. Scholarships were distributed to the students who had passed SSLC and Plus Two examinations.
