BEIJING, MAY 19. China has agreed to sell four frigates to Pakistan. Sources here said the agreement was reached during the talks between the visiting Pakistani Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Shahid Karimullah, and senior Chinese defence officials. Admiral Karimullah, who is here on a week-long official visit, met the head of the General Armament Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Li Jinai, and discussed ways to further the military cooperation between the two nations. Mr. Li praised the Sino-Pakistan relationship and the two armed forces, saying the two sides shared a comprehensive friendly ties which had ``great potential.''
