Pisharody cremated

THRISSUR, MARCH 22 . The body of the Sanskrit scholar and writer, K.P. Narayana Pisharody, was cremated with State honours at his ancestral house, Kodikkunath Pisharam, at Pallipuram, Pattambi, near here this afternoon. The body was taken from his residence, `Narayaneeyam', here to Pattambi at 10-30 a.m.

Among those who visited the residence were the Culture Minister, G. Karthikeyan, Therambil Ramakrishnan, MLA, the Mayor, Jose Kattukkaran, the Kerala Sahitya Akademi president, Yusefali Kecheri, the Collector, V.M. Gopala Menon, and the writers, Sukumar Azhikode, D. Vinayachandran and Sara Joseph.
