NEW DELHI, FEB. 25. A woman informer of the Narcotics Cell of the Delhi police and her accomplice have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on the charge of dealing in drugs. The Bureau has recovered 1 kg heroin and 500 gm hashish from their possession. According to the NCB Delhi Zone Director, Abrar Ahmed, the Department received a tip-off that a woman named Santosh Mahajan had been indulging in trafficking of narcotics drugs. She was putting up at Sector 20 in Rohini. After confirming the suspicion, an NCB team mounted raid at her residence when she was about to deliver a 1 kg heroin consignment to her clients through her accomplice, Rajkumar, on February 23. The team recovered 900 gm heroin and 500 gm hashish from a hidden cavity in an almirah. From Rajkumar, it recovered 100 gm heroin. During interrogation, Santosh claimed that she used to pass on information about other drug traffickers to the Narcotics Cell of the Delhi police. She continued to deal in drugs thinking that she would be saved by her contacts in that unit.
