Crisis in Sri Lanka

Sir, — This refers to the editorial, `More uncertainty in Sri Lanka', (Jan. 22). It is true that Sri Lanka is headed for an uncertain future. The SLFP and the UNP should have tried to iron out their differences. Settling scores is a wrong preoccupation for the two major political parties. The SLFP aligning with the JVP will leave the field open for the hardliners.
