Letters to the Editor
Sir, The former Lok Sabha Speaker, P.A. Sangma's statement that stalwarts such as the Congress leader, P.V. Narasimha Rao, can be projected as the Opposition's prime ministerial candidate is right. Mr. Rao, who led the Government with much ease, fits the bill well. Sonia Gandhi can wait till she gains some real experience.
K.D. Viswanaathan,
* * * Sir, I agree with Mr. Sangma's view. Mr. Narasimha Rao will be an excellent choice.
V.H. Jaya Rao,
* * * Sir, The Congress' initiative in forging an alliance in the name of secularism appears to be a smokescreen for forming an anti-NDA front. It emerges from the realisation that if the NDA remains in power for five more years, the communists and the Congress will be reduced to being regional forces.
S.A. Srinivasa Sarma,
