The SAB TV programme, `Court Martial' was judged the best current affairs programme. The winning episode was a 40-minute interview with the Pakistani Foreign Minister, Khursheed Kasuri, broadcast in June this year. The runner-up was a programme from the CNN International. Mr. Thapar won the best current affairs presenter award for his long-running BBC series `Face to Face'. The winning episode was an interview with the dancers Radha, Raja and Kaushalya Reddy, broadcast in February this year. The other entries in this category included programmes from the CNN, Singapore's MediaWorks and the SAB TV programme `Court Martial'. This year, the Asian Television Awards received nearly 2000 entries from 190 different companies in 15 countries and were scrutinised by 64 judges representing the continent's top broadcasters and production houses. A total of eleven separate juries were held to determine the awards.
